AC charging point is composed of pile body, electrical module, measurement module, monitoring unit and charging interface, etc. The external structure of pile body includes cover and human-computer interface; the pile body has floor type and wall type; electrical module consists of charging socket, power supply cable and terminal board of power supply adapter, etc. The measurement module includes electric energy meter, etc. Monitoring unit includes processor, card reading device, GPS positioning module and video capture module, etc.

AC charging point provide AC power supply of AC 220V or AC 380V. When the on-board charger of electric car is connected to the AC charge pile, the on-board charger is detected by AC charge pile through charge guide, then the charge pile will be in standby mode; when the user inserts charging card and start charging, the charge pile will provide power output. During the charging process, the charge monitor sends the charging data to background total control unit through Ethernet (or other communication modes such as wireless network, power line carrier and GPS, etc.) to achieve data archive and remote monitoring.
